Jed McCaleb, the co-founder of Stellar and Ripple, called TRON a trash project, Justin Sun responds. Universities are introducing more and more courses related to cryptocurrencies. Will the Thai people vote in the election using blockchain technology? Check what happened last week in the world of crypto!
Jed McCaleb, a co-founder of Stellar and Ripple and blockchain pioneer, said in an interview with Yahoo! Finance that 90% of crypto projects are garbage.
When referring to the ICO boom in 2017 he said:
“One of the nice things that comes with the market calming down—I still say it’s not a bear market—it means there’s less of that. Ninety percent of these projects are B.S. I’m looking forward to that changing. Things like Tron, it’s just garbage. But people dump tons of money into it, these things that just do not technically work.”
Justin Sun, the founder of TRON, quickly reacted to the controversial McCaleb’s words on Twitter.
BitTorrent: The OG in P2P, 1B+ users, bringing P2P to mass market. eDonkey, founded by @JedMcCaleb: RIP 2002. Guess we’re doing pretty well for “garbage” 🤷🏻♂️ Prediction for 2019 📣: #TRON vs @StellarOrg will have same results as @BitTorrent vs eDonkey $TRX #XLM https://t.co/HTu5p6Q8g9

Thailand is a country known for its negative attitude towards cryptocurrencies. However, Thailand’s National Electronics and Computer Technology Center (NECTEC) prepares a special system for counting and registering electoral votes. The works are quite advanced, because the program is only waiting for final tests. The system is to be tested first in local referendums, at universities or in business companies. The next step is to implement it on a national scale.
